TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Cape Mountains are famously beautiful and exploring them is both rewarding and fascinating – but they aremountains, susceptible to rapid and extreme changes in weather along with all the risks posed by walking on precipitous and rough trails in wilderness areas.

Although I have the necessary training and experience to deal with emergency situations in mountains, there is always the element of risk and danger no matter how prepared or experienced one is.

On top of that, there is also the risk of cancellations by either party owing to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Therefore, anyone who commits to a hike with Dominic Chadbon/The Fynbos Guy is subject to the following terms and conditions.

Deposit: on acceptance of a hike, a 50% deposit is required to safeguard your booking. This can be made in cash or by EFT. The remainder of the cost is to be made before the hike takes place.

Cancellations & Refunds: if Dominic Chadbon/The Fynbos Guy cancels a hike due to adverse weather conditions or any other circumstances a full refund is given in the event of with the exception of a R50 administration fee. If you, the client, cancel a hike for any reason then the following conditions apply:

If the hike is cancelled by the client up to and including a week (7 days) before the hike is due to take place, a 50% refund is given. If a hike is cancelled by the client within 7 days before its start date, a 25% refund is given.

Indemnity: anyone who embarks on any hike or activity with Dominic Chadbon/The Fynbos Guy is required to read, complete and sign an indemnity form.
